Citelis is a good car, sold Europe-wide. The problem here was due to the bad maintenance that affected also prior bus models: once the maintenance was enhanced, problems were reduced to a physiological level.

I like the Citelis. I had the chance to ride a couple of Line in Paris in 2007 and I believe they have the ZF 6HP554C gearbox or something similar because I noticed that when it changed gears, it did the same sound as the NovaBUS LFSs we have here with the same transmission. Overall, a nice ride and a nice setup inside too.

The STM (Montreal) and RTL (Longueuil) is testing this particular unit because they want to test the BAE hybrid system on an articulated bus and the NovaBUS LFS HEVs up to date and the LFS Artic HEV for Connecticut Transit all have the Allison EP40 system.

The STM will have it until September and then it will cross over on the south shore to Longueuil for testing there on routes 45 EXPRESS Terminus Centre-Ville - Terminus Panama and EXPRESS AMT Chevrier 90 which are run almost exclusively with articulated buses (20 VanHool AG300 --> 2-0101 to 20116 and 20601 to 20604 and 9 NovaBUS LFS Artic --> 21051 to 21059).

Here are the first photos of ATM 2840, renumbered 40-801 at the STM.

Wow, thank you, great photos :D
How is it? Is it a good bus?
The Hybrid Citelis 12m numbered 4270 here in Milan was a disaster, i hope the 2840 it's better :)

It was a great ride and I will certainly go back on Monday when it officially goes into service on the 435 EXPRESS du Parc/Côte-des-Neiges and on the 139 Pie-IX. It was on the road so drivers could practice and to train other drivers too. The STM has 8 NovaBUS LFS HEVs, but they are hybrid parralel systems (Allison EP40) and with the series hybrid, the thing I found most interesting is you can convert it into an all-electric bus. We're not used to the start 'n' stop, but it's feels weird having the engine shut off when the bus is stopped and the start up again when the driver step on the gas.

I will post more photos next week and maybe a video.

^^ Pictures very interesting, congratulations!
Also exciting to see our future 2840 running without too much thinking and problem free, and quiet for American roads, and 'probable that even here in this exemplary hybrid STM are trying to see if they can reflect the expectations and maybe in the future to buy also some units.
We are here in Milan as hybrid vehicles have 1 Man Lion's City matriculated 4280 and a Van Hool A330 matriculated 4290, despite the small problems that are doing very well (although the 4280, towards the end of this summer had been stopped for a good period of time due to the electrical avirie). 8--)
How Irisbus we had the 4270, that ATM has been domiciled deposit Borgazzi Monza. The medium was repeatedly subjected to various tests, and for a short period has been also in line on the z206. The problem with this car, it was very electronics company, where the system of the hybrid system disturbed the electric installation of the half, and did not run the air conditioning and heating. After a brief stint on the line, continued to be repeatedly brought into service Irisbus both in Turin (OrecchiaBus), which in Cavenago (Pictures truck), only the ninth Irisbus technicians were able to do so much, and the car (with the problems included) is back in France!
Now Irisbus has made available for ATM a new example of hybrid Citelis 12 meters, which arrived 2 days ago Borgazzi deposit (same as 4270), given that ATM would provide the hybrid car to the filing of Monza.
This car is numbered 4271, and is presented in a more unusual setting fees for ATM Milano, with seats on aluminum thin and light (Como-style ASF), finishing with more green. The car still seems very interesting: ATM Milan did change it up and chose one to 3 doors most suitable areas for urban public transport which would be designed the car. :)

Thanks. Actually, they are testing the Citelis 18 Hybrid because of its series hybrid system. Our 8 NovaBUS LFS HEVs are parallel hybrids. New Flyer in Winnipeg, Manitoba builds their hybrids with the series system and I heard a rumor saying that the STM will cancel their contract with NovaBUS and go with New Flyer purchasing XDE40 and/or XDE60 models (X=Xcelsior D=Diesel E=Electric 40=40 foot bus (approx. 12m) 60= 60 foot bus (18m)).
